"We are better, together."

City River is a collection of churches that understand the importance and power of unity. With members from different cultural, traditional and denominational backgrounds, City River strives to work with the Church in the city to become a more effective means of blessing.

Laying aside our own agendas, we fervently ask God for His direction on how we can be a better representation of His Church in our city.

Who We Are

Armenian Emmanuel Church of the Nazarene

Championed by the vision of Pastors John and Berjouhi Keoshkerian, the Armenian Emmanuel Church of the Nazarene was established in 1986. Ministering in the City for over 30 years, it has become a mainstay in the Armenian Christian community in Toronto. With an understanding of the role of the Armenian people as a blessing to the nations and recognizing the global effect it can have with the world at its doorstep in Toronto, the church partnered with The Toronto Church of the Living God under the joint ministry banner The Well on Bayview in 2009.

The Toronto Church of the Living God

Born out of a small group of young adults with a desire to experience a fresh move of the Holy Spirit, The Toronto Church of the Living God was established in 1985.  As a multi-ethnic, multi-generational church, with a burning desire to see the Church expressed as one, and an unwavering conviction to work toward this end, the church partnered with the Armenian Emmanuel Church of the Nazarene in 2009 under the joint ministry banner The Well on Bayview.
